We were introduced through our amazing mutual friend, Chevonne—Jordan’s childhood friend and my close friend from Florida State University. From the start, we bonded over our shared sense of humor, love of music, and the joy of spending time together. At the time, Jordan was coaching football at Charleston Southern University, but despite the miles, he would frequently make the long drive to Tallahassee just to spend time together.
Though the distance wasn't always easy, it only made our connection stronger. After many weekends of long drives and FaceTime calls, we decided to take the leap and move to Nashville together to start the next chapter of our lives. It was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Nashville quickly became home, and as they say, the rest is history.
We were heading to Tampa for the Renaissance Tour. Everything was set, but to my surprise, Jordan canceled on me the day before the concert! I ended up going with Chevonne, which was still fun, but I couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed.
The next day, Jordan promised to make it up to me with a day full of surprises. As part of the plan, we were about to board Starship for what I thought was just a simple dinner cruise. I was looking forward to relaxing on the water when, as we walked up the stairs, I was completely shocked to see all of our family waiting there.
That’s when Jordan got down on one knee and proposed! I was so overwhelmed with joy, tears were streaming down my face as I said yes, surrounded by the people we love most.
